Therefore, the Bailey frame has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient transportation, fast erection, easy decomposition, less construction, low cost and light weight. Moreover, the beret also has the characteristics of large carrying capacity, strong steel structure and long service life.
Stress characteristics
(1) The piers and columns are rigidly connected, and the beams are unloaded due to the bending resistance of the piers. The whole system is a compression-bending structure and also has a thrust structure.
(2) The clearance under the bridge of the steel truss bridge is larger than that of the arch bridge, and a smaller span can be constructed under the same clearance requirements.
